This document specifies performance test procedures to determine the passive safety properties ofsupport structures such as lighting columns, sign posts, signal supports, structural elements, foundations,detachable products and any other components used to support a particular item of equipment on theroadside.

This document provides a common basis for the vehicle impact testing of items of road equipmentsupport structures.

This document does not apply to road restraint systems.
