This European Standard specifies the marking rules for aerospace products, semi-finished products, andready to use parts, which need surface marking by discoloration using a laser source to identify the partand/or enhance its traceability.

This type of marking can be used on a wide range of materials (both metallic and non-metallic) andcoatings (paints, varnishes?). It is in line with the part definition.
