Full Description

Provides for hose and hose assemblies, classified in two types according to pressure, for handling anhydrous ammonia in liquid or gaseous form over a temperature range of -40¿¿C to +65¿¿C. The hose and hose assemblies have a particular use in agriculture. Constructional, dimensional and physical properties, and resistance to ammonia, low temperature and ozone are specified. In general, tests are prescribed by reference to AS 1180 but tests for resistance to ammonia and low temperature are described in appendices. A further appendix provides recommendations for periodical inspection, testing, handling and storage of hose and hose assemblies.
