Specifies internal micrometers and stick micrometers reading to 0.01 mm and gives requirements for materials, properties, basic design details, accuracy and finish. An appendix gives notes on the assessment of the more important features of these instruments. For internal micrometers, sizes up to 900 mm and for stick micrometers sizes up to 1800 mm are covered.
