Specifies minimum safety requirements for portable luminaires, which are intended to be held in the hand when used (handlamps) and which have a supply voltage not exceeding 250 V. This Part is to be read in conjunction with AS/NZS 60598.1:1998. This Standard is technically equivalent to and has been reproduced from IEC 60598-2-8:1996.
